A fantastic Vin de Bordeaux situated north of Libourne, family-owned now in their third generation. Vibrant fruits, plums, black cherry with soft spice with a lovely acidity that makes it really juicy. This is great with homely foods like cottage pie & hearty stew.

2 x Chateau Carcannieux Cru Bourgeois Medoc, France 2015 12.5% ABV, 75cl

From the left side of the river from vines aged over 25 years, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and Petit Verdot. Showing hints of maturity with lovely spiced cassis and blackcurrant, floral and elegant style of Bordeaux for soft integrated tannins. Beautiful with roast meats.

2 x Chateau du Val d’Or Saint Emilion Grand Cru, France 2014 13% ABV, 75cl

From the highly regarded region of St Emilion on the right side of the river. The Bardet family have combined tradition, modern technology and their expertise to produce mouthwatering Grand Cru wines. Finesse with a touch of evolution, chocolate, plums with a sprinkling of spice. Delicious to accompany game and roasts meats.
