Raymond will take us through stunning Portuguese wines while we enjoy a three course meal freshly prepared by the Railway Kitchen.
Raymond was born and raised in Portugal, and went on to study Chemistry at Leicester University, and Oenology at Bordeaux. Returning to Portugal, he went on to become assistant winemaker at Taylor’s Port. Raymond moved to the UK in 1990, setting up Raymond Reynolds Ltd.
It is through Raymond that we have the wonderful wines and Port from Dirk Neipoort, along side Suzanne Esteban and Luis Gomes.
Portugal is famous for its fortified wines from the Douro region, however there are many regions that produce sparkling, fresh zesty whites and delicate, elegant reds. These wines aren’t so well known which is why we want to dedicate an evening of exploring these stunning wines and who better to take us on that journey but Raymond.
