Description
White Wine
Mesa Trinas Torrontes, Argentina
Torrontes is a lovely grape from Argentina but not so well known. It gives really fresh aromatics with peach, orange blossom, green pears with a lovely citrus lift at the finish. Perfect with slightly spiced foods.. !
Kleindal Chenin Blanc, South Africa
I think this is a greta little wine and a grape that is underrated. Subtle notes of fruit salad and white stone fruit with a textured, well-rounded palate. There is fresh, balancing acidity and papaya and mango on the finish. Delicious with meaty fish dishes and white meats.
Antico Fregio Catarratto and Pinot Grigio, Italy
Light and fresh with zesty crispy acidity and attractive notes of lemon, lime and a touch of spice. Perfect for the party season and works great with seafood.
La Famille Lacasse Chardonnay
A very expressive nose of pure apricot and peach, this is full flavoured but soft and well balanced. Rounded, attractive and long this would pair well with roast turkey and butternut squash bake.
Pecorino Terre do Chieti, Italy
Bright lemon fresh aroma, crunchy green apple acidity with a lovely mouth feel. It has a lovely length with a touch of savouriness on the finish. A white wine that works well with risotto and soft cheeses.
Rio Roca Sauvignon Blanc, Chile
A fresh and easy style of sauvignon blanc. Nice crisp green apples with soft citrus notes Sit back and enjoy!
Red Wine
Debajo Dry Farmed Carignan, Chile
Made from dry-farmed Carignan grown in Curico’s coastal mountains. Debajo means ‘beneath’ and refers to the vines’ struggle for water, digging their roots through the cracks in the dry earth to find water reserves deep beneath the ground. Fresh red berry compote with a touch of liquorice, hugely juicy with soft tannin structure.
San Giorgio Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Italy
A really popular wine made from the montepulciano grape from the region of Abruzzo. Lots of black cherry bramble fruits, herbs and violets. Great for Boxing day cold meat section!
770 Miles Zinfandel, California
This is a well loved wine packed full of scrumptious fruit deep damsons, black cherries and red fruit with a sprinkling of black pepper. Perfect to enjoy a large glass by the fire or with roast meats
Pablo Cortez Selection Malbec, Argentina
The most popular red grape at the moment and you can understand why! Rich blue and blackberry fruit dominates with a bright red fruit, soft tannins and a smooth full finish. Well balanced and juicy!
La Famille Lacasse Merlot
Medium depth of colour with notes of red cherries, subtle herbs and garrigue with a suggestion of white pepper on the finish. A really lovely versatile wine that is delicious on its own but equally lovely with blue cheese, cold meats or rich stews.
